In 2007 the Broken Hill Art Exchange Inc. in partnership with dLux Media Arts, Sydney established an Information and Communications (I.C.) Media Lab in Studio 6. The I.C. Media Lab brings leading Australian and international visiting artists and art organisations to the city to share skills and work collaboratively with local artists and organisations. Some of the artists who have stayed at the lab include Allan Giddy, Angelica Mesiti, Shaun Gladwell, Alice Angus, Proboscis (UK) as well as Jamaican artist mervin Jarman, the founder of the Container and iStreetLab, Community and Youth Engagement projects.
